Department of Biochemistry

The Department of Biochemistry offers Bachelors with Honours in Biochemistry, one of the most sought after science course in the University. Since Biochemistry is the central basic discipline to all branches of Biology, the courses provides an in depth knowledge of the subject with a multi disciplinary approach. The Department has a committed and innovation team of teachers known for their excellence in concept based teaching and practical expertise. It has a state-of-art laboratory, an instrumentation facility with latest equipments and a seminar room. Besides providing quality education, the faculty makes extra efforts to help students explore their best potential and develop scientific attitude through various activities. The Students are encouraged to organize and participate in intra - college competitions. Popular lectures by eminent scientists, research paper presentations and discussions encourage the students to develop their eternal urge for the subject and pursue research as career, being small, the department has a friendly and informal atmosphere. Our students perform well academically and majority of them secure admission in various prestigious institutions in India and abroad for higher education.
