    Greetings and a warm welcome!

    As a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure as prescribed by the NAAC, the college established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 18th September, 2015 under the aegis of the Deshbandhu College. The IQAC being an integral part of the college works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement by developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in different aspects of functioning of the college. e.

    The IQAC assures the stakeholders i.e., students, parents, teachers, staff, Management, funding agencies and society in general - of the accountability and transparency in the quality management system of the institution and its concern for ensuring quality of education being imparted.

    Internal Quality Assurance System is a step towards Excellence. The IQAC of Deshbandhu has been largely responsible for conducting the2nd cycle of NAAC accreditation with a A++ grading with CGPA 3.65 in the year 2023 and 1st cycle of NAAC accreditation with a B++ grading with CGPA 2.80 in the year 2016. In order to evaluate its adherence to various quality benchmarks and parameters the college has been participating in NIRF ranking since 2020. The college achieved, all India 16th Rank under College’s Category in NIRF ranking 2024, up from 17th rank in 2023, 28th rank in 2022, 60th rank in 2021 and 96th rank in 2020, a testimony to the colleges resolve to excel in quality benchmarking, adherence and assurance. It conducts various conferences, seminars and workshops to enhance the overall quality of teaching – learning process. In the last academic session, IQAC organised more than 115 seminars, workshops, FDP, conferences and other academic activities. The most notable amongst them were two international conferences. It the search output of the college has also shown consistent improvement both qualitatively and quantitatively with the college publishing research, papers Books and Book Chapters and Conference presentation and proceedings, conducts valuable feedback for quality sustenance and improvement in teaching, learning and research experiences in the college. It documents and reports various activities of the college for various higher education requirements. A continuous follow up has been made on infrastructural resources of the college to assure adequate, appropriate and better facilities to assure a conducive and enabling environment for teaching, learning and research. Through all these initiatives, IQAC of Deshbandhu is trying to be one of the important components of the college which ensures quality and continuous improvement in all the units / aspects of the college.
